Detailed description

The Rolex calibre 3130 movement was introduced in 2001 and has been used in a number of different models over the years. Most notably, it can be found in the no-date ceramic Rolex Submariner. The movement features the Chronergy escapement, along with optimized and improved gear trains and lubricants, which help provide better power reserve performance. When launching the new-generation Calibre 3000, Rolex stated that 90% of its components had been changed compared to previous generations.

The Rolex calibre 3135 is arguably the most famous and iconic movement ever produced by Rolex, but as mentioned, the Calibre 3130 is no exception. Like the Calibre 3135, the Calibre 3130 is a reliable movement that Rolex has used for nearly two decades. This clearly demonstrates that Rolex has complete confidence in and satisfaction with the performance of the calibre 3130. Over the years, the Rolex Calibre 3130 has been used in the Air-King, Oyster Perpetual, Explorer, and Submariner models. In other words, the Rolex calibre 3130 is a very widely used movement.

Starting in 2010, Rolex updated Cal. 3130 with a Parachrom hairspring,
